The stove is called the Ultralight Backpacking Canister Camp Stove with Piezo Ignition 3.9oz! . It has no name brand and is sold by a business named JOGR. I have never heard of them. Normally, I would not buy something that had no brand and was from a place I had never heard of. However, it was only $15 and I bought it on accident.
Its so little! A baby stove! |
When I received it in the mail I was shocked. It is tiny! Cute even! I was instantly pleased with the construction. This stove may be inexpensive, but it is not cheap. Here are the specs:
- 3.9oz packed in case
- PIEZO ignition
- Adjustable flame
- Fuel - screw top butane / propane canisters
The stove unfolds easily. All of the parts are machined well. There is no play in the moving parts.
The stove screws easily onto a canister. I bought a Coleman Butane canister from Walmart for less than 5 dollars. I placed a pot with two cups of water on it. The stove was stable, I was not afraid of the pot falling off. In high winds this might be a problem, but not in normal situations.
The PIEZO ignition works perfectly. Nice big sparks. It lit instantly with a nice large flame. It was incredibly easy to turn up or down the flame. You can fine tune it to exactly what you need.
At a medium setting it took about 2 minutes to get two cups of water to a rolling boil. I was pleased with this. I actually boiled an egg with this and have absolutely no complaints. It worked as well as my kitchen stove.
This little no-brand stove might be the best accidental purchase I have ever made. It has earned a spot in my truck box. It is small enough that I might stick it in my backpack and take it with me on some hunts. I highly recomend it.
No one paid me to do this review and I purchased the stove with my own money. I am, however, an Amazon affiliate. This in no way affected my opinion of this great little stove.
